How It All Started
This company was founded by Tamar Oranje in Beaverton, Oregon, born out of a very personal need. While building his own home, Tamar wanted custom tatami flooring made to precise measurements and crafted with authentic materials. However, after extensive searching, he discovered there were no suppliers in the United States offering the level of customization and quality he was looking for.
Rather than compromise, Tamar decided to create a solution. What began as a search for tatami mats for one home became a company dedicated to providing custom tatami flooring to customers across the U.S. and beyond with the same attention to detail he wanted for his own space.

Once your order is submitted, manufacturing begins promptly. Before shipment, we carefully verify all measurements and conduct a detailed inspection of the finished mats. Photos of your tatami mats are sent to you for final approval before they are packed.
We take great care in preparing your order for transport. All tatami mats are securely packaged with extra protection along the edges and corners to minimize the risk of damage during shipping.
From Our Workshop to Your Home
Manufacturing typically takes approximately one week, followed by shipping time of about one month, depending on destination. Throughout the process, we keep you informed so you know exactly what to expect and when your tatami mats will arrive.
